Default How to edit a finished models?

How to edit a finished models?


I allready installed Gmax, RenX in my comp...

Now i want to edit some model i found in the net...

I want to add Weapon bones/mesh so it can fired 2 missle at once...

But i don't even know how to start :P

I try to open .W3D with Renx but it always says file open failed

Aghhh

i am currently using w3d->gmax converter version 1.16 beta by Eric Morin and Tom Anderson

in the readme it says press "import a w3d file" button.

where the button?

go online and search for the w3d importer for RenX or Gmax. After you have it, unzip it into gmax\gamepacks\renx\scripts\startup, then you have to go to the utilities tab on the right side of RenX and choose the button that says MaxScript, then click the drop-down box and choose the importer script, then scroll down the menu a bit and hit the button that says Load W3D Object.
