that had to be one of the BEST posts I have read in a long time Dem0nEgg, you make very valid points about everything you said.

It may be mean and sadistic to use a 747 plane, but come on, GLA uses all sorts of terrorist weapons, like the guys with bombs strapped to thier chest, bomb trucks, all of wich have cause alot damage , considering their have been countless suicide attacks in many of the middle east. So i think a 747 hijackign and using it as a missle very well fits that sides theme. (terrorists, suicidal)

hey i downloaded fraps (version 2 DEMO) but its very laggy, even if i play gen with 800x600 and video only 15 Frames my PC lags when i record the video....
my pc: P4 2Ghz, 512 DDR-Ram and Radeon 9700Pro. Is that not enough????

Why not use it? Guns killed more people than 747's ever did, yet we still play games with guns. And we use terrorists in generals, and it's not like real life people weren't killed due to some guy with a bomb on his body.

Why not? Just becasue of the 911 thing it dosn;t make it that bad. We have people using exploding cars everwhere, and have them with bombs on their chests. Nobody says anything about that. Tanks destroy civillians in every war and yet no one says, "Hey, thats not right." Just keep it in the mod...

And i should know im in the army and have served in 3 war zones.

What you think terrorists are the only ones that stick a bomb in a car and drive it into something?

I have placed explosives in a car rigged it to drive in a straight line and demolished a building cause we couldnt get close enough to it.

Many "Terrorist" Tatics are actually gaurilla warfare which was used way before terrorists came around doing them...

I will say this. When you have to get a job done you will use any and i do mean ANY means possible to do it that includes killing Civies or sending your own men to die.

Been there done that lost lots of good friends doing it.

EDIT: For all you 9/11 ppl out there what happened at the Towers is nothing! My country was being attacked quite often by the IRA for years. Bombing towns killing thousands. 9/11 is only a big deal coz they took the towers out and killed many civies in 1 event not hundreds...

I'll just make a crappy old Constellation in my mod for the Rebel Forces (replaces GLA), so it's (was) a commercial airliner, but not hijacked.

They dont want this turning into a heated debate with posters from every country siding up against each other, and that is quite often what happens in some forums. HOWEVER I think due to the nature of this forum... (modders being intelligent people) should stop it from descending into that.

like I said.... if it is POSSIBLE it would be nice for it to fly in from a side or something..... I realise this is problematic because then the plane itself isnt a "warhead"..... but im pretty sure you can work out something

Either way... I think the angle the plane comes down from atm looks a bit silly. and there should be some kind of outward explosion like from a nuke, rather than instant fires..... and have a few (non black napalm fires) to represent air liner fuel......

then you can have chemical clouds if you like, or whatever....
depending on what strength you envisaged this super weapon having.
But im not a coder so.... I donno whats possible and what is not
