Quick question about boning a model

Hey, I was following killakanz's tut and I'm all the way to the step where you link the bones. He says that you "Select your left tread mesh, TreadsL01, and hirachially link it to the tread bone, TREADSL01." Yet, he fails to explain exactly how you "hirachially link ". lol Any help? Thanks!

I was having problems with this as well.... it's probably really obvious once you know what to do but I still can't work it out. Any help?

click on the object you want to be the child
then click on the button called 'select and link' beside the undo and redo buttons in the top toolbar.

then press 'h' to bring up the hierarchy screen, and click the object you want to select as the parent, and click link
