sorry, havent been able to figure this out though i'm sure its quite simple...
i know i use a program such as finalbig to view the .ini files, but whats the procedure for altering them? extract, edit, and add back to the .big file? is it nessessary to add it back to the .big file after every change?
2. open with finalbig INI.BIG (from the generals folder in program files)
3. extract all to (your folder).
4. close finalbig.
5. go to C:\Programfiles\EA Games\Command & Conquer\Data
6. make in C:\Programfiles\EA Games\Command & Conquer\Data A new Folder named ''INI'' (with capitals) (capitals turn back normal when pressed enter ''this is good'')
7. go to (your folder)
8. Copy all the files in (your folder) to C:\Programfiles\EA Games\Command & Conquer\Data\INI
9. when you have done this you can happily edit the INI files in your Programfiles.
10. after doing adjustments to the ini's, you start the game and if you have done everything right with the ini's there should be NO crash.
11. Make lots and lots of backups.
12. start easy with editing.
13. example to just edit weapon damage and that stuff.
14. make sure you got a backup from the first INI you use.
