Default Russia Mod

Hi!!! I am a new mod developer, and I need people to help me create a Russian Campaign In replacement of the Chinese or GLA one.

I basically make the models, and need persons to texture them, make maps and make new code for the game's campaign.

This seems to be rather hard, and in fact it is, but if you want to join, contact me via e-mail.

I give you the General's Star rating and special weapons as an example of what I am aiming to include:

--1 Star
-Emergency repair
-Spetsnaz: Camouflaged special forces, able to plant bombs on enemy buildings
--3 Star
-T-80 tank: Better armored, more heavily armed and equally fast to the basic T-72 tank
-1x/2x/3x Su 25: same as A-10 strike
-DU bombs: MiG-29s and Su-25s carry du ammunition-+100% damage, a small area is contaminated with radiation
--5 Star
-Neutron bomb: Calls in a Tu-95 Bear H bomber that drops a neutron bomb (kills all infantry and vehicle crews in range)

The Russians are to be the games strongest offensive unit and worst defensive.

The Tu-95 model is already waiting for texturing

I think this is a bit weird, Cause Russia proved against Napoleon and in WWI AND WWII to have one of the best defence there is!

Yes but that was due to weather conditions. And come on, no one is going to depend on the weather for defence And BTW, cold weather won't help you much if you're fighting in the desert...

The Russians don't just rely on weather alone. Because they have had three major invasions: the Mongols, Napolean, and the Nazis; Russian mentality is heavily geared towards defense. Border Guards in the Soviet era were among the hardest to get by. The whole reason they took over Eastern Europe was to be a buffer protect against an invasion by the West which their dogma said was inevitable. This is why the Russian Federation in my Global Conflict is very turtle oriented.

Actually, I would say the Russians are somewhere in between. It seemed they were very revenge oriented, just retreating backwards slowly until they totally regrouped and then just rolled right over somebody. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it ALWAYS seems that way...

The Russian tactical doctrine should "if you are to die, there is someone behind you to take your place". Or something like that.

Default Straightening things out

Russia has always been ahead of every other countries in practical designs, meaning that they have (for example) the best aircraft flying at the moment, even without the U.S. technological miracles that make U.S. aircraft equal to theirs. So, Russia is based in raw firepower instead of accuracy, meaning they use stronger weapons, at a greater scale-I want to make this ability feelable in the game, but if all the Russian offensive firepower is backed up by a great defensive system (like the GLA defenses) the game would not be balanced, so Russia would have a great advantageagainst other factions. So I've decided tomake the Russian war machine as real as it gets, but to make its defences weaker, so that this firepower is somewhat restricted for protecting the home base, thus making the Generals "star" abilities and strategic weapons valuable for victory; this can't be done that easily with other factions, as their strategic weapons are of minor effect (except for the EMP bomb).

To cut a long story short, this means that the Russians defensively are restricted to a simple bunker, while offensively are unrestricted, with maybe the greatest arsenal to appear in C&C Generals._

Dear god man, never ever make false statements about aircraft around me ever again, or I will be forced to flame you into submission. Maybe I'm just an asshole, but it really pisses me off when people make false statements about the military. Research before you speak, please.
