Default Bit Of A History Lesson In ZH ;)

Bit of a brief history lesson for you here. If anyone has rooted through the BIGs yet, they will no doubt have noticed the American Nuke Silo

At concept stage, the idea was that America would have nukes. This then changed to what was called the 'SDI Uplink' which was basically a big missile which fired into the air to deflect incoming super weapons (like nukes) or could itself be used as a nuke-type thing. The anims on this structure closely match the version of the American Nuke Silo you see in the files in ZH. If I can find the older set Ill post a pic so you can see the very close resemblance.

Eventually, to keep the sides uniquely different, the idea went and the Americans got the Particle Cannon Uplink instead.

So there you go - before theres a mountain of posts asking where the USA Nuke Silo came from!!

Theres plenty of other goodies lying around too - if anyone wants the 'guided tour' and whats there and why, just hollar and Ill continue to post details. Having taken a look at what was decided to be included, it seems theres still a few gaps so Ill have to speak to some people with regards to what I could possibly provide to fill those gaps - looks like they ran out of CD space again

BTW the USA version of the SCUD Storm is lying around too (Tomahawk Storm) - this was originally for General Thorn (now General Alexander) who had versions of all the games superweapons.

oh so the USA's original superweapon was going to be 'Star Wars' insipired, not the films the coldwar created wepaon to shoot down soviet launched nuclear wepaons using lasers.

on another note i noticed that the uplink site looked liek a silo and would have made it a tactical nuke silo, i would like to see the tomahawk storm though
