Can everyone please stop posting enormous pictures as attachments. They eat up a lot of bandwidth and as you may know this led to the site having to be closed for the last few days of September as it exceeded its allocation.
A lot of people are posting entire screen dumps as attachments which is basically stoopid because just a small section of that image is actually needed to convey the point youre trying to make or to demonstrate the work youve done/are doing.
If you really must post a full screen dump, at least host it elsewhere and link to it in your post with the [img] tag in BBCode. The same goes for any big images/files. The attachment feature is there for necessity only when no other means will suffice.
If the badwidth usage goes through the roof in two weeks time, I will have to remove the attachment facility for fear of the site going down again so the message is simple - consider other users and think before you post.
Hi Dee, can't you say how big the filesize could be ? And perhaps how much width and height the maximum picture can be ? Isn't it a option in the forum preferences ?
And of course, people with big files should post separate links !
Hey Malc, isn't Cnc matrix having trouble now or somethin? I mean, I keep goin there for stuff but its just some writing saying that the site is screwed. What happened? Is Cnc Matirx no more? :scared:
