Even with two teams, they don't have any good INI editors. They may have some models, but lack skinners (they admit it at the forums).

And with their 7 (!!) countries they want to make, they will get stuck at some time...

My advice is, join Blitz.

where did we admit that? and eradicator is the ini editor on our team, i dunno who their ini guy is.

i can't believe some of you guys. i had full support when i was doing my pacific mod. Now that i have combined with another WW2 mod to make it better, we get given shit.
i'm sure we wouldn't recieve anything if we decided to make a mod with mechs to compete with world crisis, or if we added a british side to generals like secondwave. even if we made a star wars mod, i'm sure you guys wouldn't care. but there is something special about blitz that makes the whole subject of ww2 untouchable by anybody else.
well, the ww2 concept was not invented by the blitz team. so we're gonna grab a peice of it and make a good mod, if you like it or not.

hmmm
I see several problems here:

- The project is way too ambitious to a point I'm convinced that the people behind it, are unconscious of the work a Generals total conversion mod represents. If you don't grasp the complexity of the job ahead, you're set to hit the wall. If I were to start such thing, I’d start with only 2 sides. Implementing 7 sides is just foolish and makes me seriously doubt your sanity.

-You're also unconscious that you're seriously lacking on the graphical aspect. Granted, not everyone has the same skills and experience, but showing these type of barely average models just doesn't appear very appealing.

- You'll be surprised how much research that goes into making things work, or the time that needs to be invested to research graphical aspects of the game so you can optimize your "production pipeline". In the DerelictStudio/Blitz2 group there is actually an educational program running where new promising people are trained by vets with grey beards...

- Blitz2 is not just Smurf’s mod, it is a group effort where responsibilities are dispatched according your capabilities. Smurf is the one of the key persons, but decisions are made after debate and in consensus. If it wasn’t for such a democratic structure, where I can validate my own opinions, I simply would have abandoned long ago…

Good fighting spirit you got there, but determination alone will not get you to the end of the ride. What you're trying to do is to dig through a mountain with a few shovels. Unless you seriously trim down your goals, you'll be crushed by that enormous pile of work ahead...

how many sides do most mods have? 3? both our mods had 3 sides before the merged. plus we are 'planning' to do russia at the end as a combined effort.

One little, big, thing. I believe you're all thinking we've been working century's to make this. We only did the most things in 2 weeks. All our skills are still improving. So stop saying that this project will have to quit. Just be glad their is another who is making a WWII mod.
