Default Hi all a new age has just begun.

I have just got a air unit to use 2 weapon and return to base if one runs out, they are carpet bombs, and missiles. You can switch between them and the pics are at http://quake.swe.net/~mrice/fileuplo...ex.php?view=ja

3 questions for you mate.

1. How did you get that nuke launch shortcut and that carpetbomb shortcut to the right side of your screen or whas it already in the game there? i would really like to know this see my topic about it because i dont understand how this system works.

2. Lol i have the same tanks as you do, are they an upgrade with you?

3. How did you do that code for the 2 differnt weapons in the air?

Shareweaponreloadtime? or what ever?

I would really like to know

I noticed just a moment ago that, every raptor plane in the game has the armorset upgrade.


Except the King raptor.

It does not seem to have the armorset upgrade. (one below)

ArmorSet
Conditions = PLAYER_UPGRADE
Armor = CountermeasuresAirplaneArmor
DamageFX = None
End

But it does have the armorbehavior upgrade moduletag.

Behavior = ArmorUpgrade ModuleTag_Armor25
TriggeredBy = Upgrade_AmericaCountermeasures
End



Now the conclusion = that in my point of view it is so that the king raptor once upgraded with countermeasures SHOULD NOT HAVE countermeasures armor but it does have the flares thx to ArmorUpgrade ModuleTag_Armor25

I need to know is it is like this because else its a bug.
I am going to test it right now.

Or does the king raptor gets it armor upgrade from the behavior and the armorset becomes countermeasuresairplanearmor?

Because i dont get it all the other gens do have the armorset upgrade

Whell i am back with the test results.

BUG FOUND!!!

The King Raptor DOES NOT RECEIVE NEW ARMOR!!!

It does receive the flares as thats a diffent moduletags.

My test whas simple yet effective.

before countermeasures.

1. king raptor flew directly over a gatling cannon and came out of it alive in the deeeeeep red as of in just 1 shot to death. (tried this 3 times with 1 time raptor dying since the gat whas already pointing towards him from the beginnin giving no turret turn rate and allowing more bullets to be shot at him)

2. letting it get shot by screwy tank hunters no flares apeared.

After countermeasures

But do try it out for yourself first, but i do think that if my results are correct that that is a huge bug especially for the airforce gen.

Hi all i am back again and this time with TEST 2


Okey now in this test i gave the countermeasuresarmor set in armor.ini SMALL_ARMS and GATTLING to only 25% (yeah i know unbeatable)

now King Raptor should get countermeasure armor stated in the manuel.

With the current INI code of the raptor it lacks the ARMORSET with the new armor.

Now the question whas does it actually receive the new armor?

Now for the second part of the test i made a new king raptor but WITH the armorset with the new armor.

TESTRESULTS.

original raptor got shot down in about 4 to 5 seconds while my second raptor (thx to armor upgrade wich should have been given to the original to that now has 25% small arms and gat dmg) did not GET SHOT DOWN it flew over the damn gat cannon 3 times attacked his supply trucks and got back YELLOW only.

CONCLUSION: King Raptor DOES NOT RECEIVE THE NEW ARMOR.

FACT

try it out yourself if you doubt me.

I whas wondering why the other raptors did get that armor upgrade and the king raptor did not.

Now my personal opinion.

What the hell, how come this is the airforce general and his OWN King raptors dont even get an armor upgrade WTF? and the other gens DO!!!

I know the king raptor starts with 260 hp and a normal starts with 160 but with the 37.5% SMALL_ARMS and GATTLING reduction (original not my test)

That would be 220 HP for those raptors of normal gens.

Something is really messed up here

How did you make the plane know it was out of one ammo type and return to base? This has been bugging me for a long time.

First off that carpet bomb thing is my cluster bomb, the nuke is the ICBM, and I just made the weapons have switches so when the plane was out of ammo for that switch it will reload, the thing in the weapon set was

ShareWeaponTime = Yes or something like that.

Default I've tried that already, that's not a fix

WeaponShareReloadTime doesn't change the way a plane acts if it has two switchable weapons, if there is still ammo left in one "slot", the plane will not return for ammo.

Doing it this way, your plane WILL return to base if you told it to attack something and it killed it on the first try. However, if the target doesn't die and the plane runs out of ammo, or if you tell the plane to guard an area, attack ground, etc... the plane will circle as if trying to attack, yet it is out of ammo.

Try this with your plane, and if you don't have this problem, could you please be more specific on how you made your plane "ignore" the other weapons.

I hope we can all get this figured out, I know I'm not the only one out there wondering about this.

As a side note, I'm curious if anybody knows how to set the contents of a transport as a payload (i.e. for parachutable transport).

Thats in the OCL's you can set the transported (aka rangers or tanks or whatever) for the transport
