NO you need to download WINRAR to uncode the file.

After winrarring it you can use the exe file and install gereral editor and then you can start CSF editor up

Well, I got the editor to work but when i loaded up the csf file, it gave me som errors.
it says:

Error in File-Format (No End after Label, Line 4177)
Error in File Format (Unknown Command, Line 4178 to 4192)
Error in File Format (No End after Label, Line 5546)
Error in File Format (Unknown Command, Line 5547 to 5552)

Is my CSF file corrupted or somethin, if it is can u post the original?

It gives those errors because it supposdly has a stricter file format, and EA's does not always follow that file format. So, it reformts EA's own CSF file, it isn't corrupt, it should work after that. It just has to fix the bugs if finds.

Correctly.

But your best bet is to load up a fresh CSF file directly from EA to ensure compleet NON buggynis, and then add your own CSF strings

You can make a new CSF-File or you can choose an original or old one ! All errors are shown to you and these errors where corrected by the program automaticly !

What's it with all these problems with CSF files? I know Scorpio9a's CSF editor is buggy concerning multiline-texts, but the EA string files aren't buggy... there are just very few strings which use a specific, differing format (no extra string).
I'm not having any problems with TibEd 2 string code... Then again, that always starts with a fresh CSF file.

The CSF-File format has a strict format for the strings ! It's hard to explain, but all CSF-Editors use the BINARY write to a file ! So, most of them don't delete the file before saving the new CSF-File !

The problem now is that not all of the binaries are overwritten by these programs ! Then the CSF-File-Format get corrupted !

Also some of the BIG-File extractors are making corrupt files ! :/

Even so "bits and bytes" of corrupt harddisks or IO-RW can be a fact for that ! :tard:

So, there are so much facts that the file format can be corrupted ! :S

Try this, use the CSF-Editor from Scorpio9a, edit a Label, select all the text and press the "Del"-Key ! Then you got an error message and then save the file ! The all the CSF-Format is corrupted and can't be read by Generals/ZH ! :S

I'm getting the feeling that Scorpio9a's CSF editor is very buggy...
People really shouldn't use it anymore. They should use XCC STE, TibEd 2 or your CSF editor, Panzerfather.
