Default Do Mods effect online gameplay ?

Hi,

I'm really sorry to ask something which i'm sure has been asked before but I can't find any information on this.

Firstly i'd like to add a officer's club flag to my command centre, if I made these changes would it effect my multiplayer game i.e. mismatch etc, i've never modified anything before but i'm aware when you start playing about with .ini files it causes issues.

Can anyone reassure me I can make changes and if so what ?

Thanks

Paul

As far as I know, it doesn't affect multiplayer at all...or at least the stuff I've done for my mods.

What stuff have you done ? Just so I can get an idea of what is not going to effect me ?

It seems to me if the mods are not connected to the .ini files you should be ok. So really the only thing you can change are cosmetic things, correct me if i'm wrong ?

Well, we've changed everything lol...completely removing the sides in generals...and adding our sides(even changing the side names). So if that doesn't screw up multiplayer...not much will.

However, some map scripts might cause problems...although those arn't ini...

Hmm, I think he means if he changes the standard ini, will he still be able to play online with standard generals if he modifies it to use the officers kit features... I should think it would work considering normal officers club users can play online still even with non officers club members.

If all you want to do is enable the Officers Club stuff, do it without editing the INI files;-
