I've been working on a shellmap for the Nova WW3 Call To Arms mod...screenshots at http://nova.deadlyfear.com
The problem is a lot of the units have a muzzle flash on from the start, these are EA units not our own. Although ours also do this in the shellmap only.
Some come on and stay on after firing. I don't know why...any suggestions?
Just wanted to let you know that I'm having the same problem with the shellmap for my mod. I'm going to take a look @ the EA map.ini file later for theirs...
Did you use skybox mode at some point for the map? If so, it has some problems - it can sometimes leave the weapon muzzle flashes visible even when they shouldnt be.
If thats your problem, try triggering skybox mode only before/aftter a unit has fired a weapon.
