made a quick update to the model, fixed the cage and added a pipe coming off the turret. Also general proportions. The models were only slightly different so it didn't deserve its own post...

just saw tor's post, we went at the same time...

I still think that barrel looks kinda odd.

you know that I'm kidding right?

one thing I suggest you is that your barrel better turn off "smooth group" so it don't seem round as it is now

of course I knew you were kidding. I just forgot to add a or a . But you never know with some people these days...

And why would I unsmooth it? Wouldn't you want it to look smooth?

nice model, but I have t agree with the others on that the barrel looks a little odd. it just seems to be to short and that thing on the barrel, the larger bulge part, needs to come like, straight up... so its more like a box with corners, rather than like a little hill...?? I'm not sure it that made any sense... but if it did... great! so make it a little longer, and fix that bulge thingy. I think that would make it look much better

I was thinking of doing the fuel barrels, but netting? Where is that?

latest version. I think the biggest problem with it not "screaming abrams" (as Proclone said) is the skin. I've matched the model up against pictures and side/top/back views, and its close to perfect. This will probably be the final version, unless someone has an idea to make it more Abrams-like.

Note: I realize part of the tracks are underground, I did some resizing and forgot to raise it afterwards :S

The cigar sized barrel doesn't really match the abrams either. If that were life sized the barrel could probably shoot something the size of a small man.

heh... longer and thinner it is.

I'm having a bit of a problem though. Whenever I press "m" in RenX to open the material editor, nothing happens. I must've hit some switch somewhere, bit I can't begin to wonder where to look. Any help would be appreciated.
