I still think it would be fun to get a "king of the monsters" godzilla-esque fighting mod made.

Rig it so that the player has control over the attack type their monster can use at any time (so they could choose ranged attacks, melee, special.. whatever).

Then have the maps be urban and buildings = crushable lol.

Course the key to making it fun would be to determine a way of making it more than just a "I hit you first so you die first". Though you could probably manage that via limited attacks ("ammo") and creative exploitation of the armor and weapon damage types.

And of course a series of well scripted story based levels would be a must to give some meaning to beating the poop out of the other guy.

It would be easy to make things huge, just increase the mass of the unit.

But the crushing...I have no idea what to do about that...

But that Abrams is uber cool! Now I wish Generals wouldn't crash in 30 minutes or so. :lol:

I don't know about buildings, but crushable/crushing units is very easy :P

why wouldn't it be? Tree and fences can be killed and crushed. Buildings aren't much different. And even if they were I can already think of another way two ways of accomplishing the same effect.

Either way this thread really isn't about this last I checked. If someone actually wanted to dot eh godzillia idea go ahead, I know I could do it already, I don't need people figuring out the feasibility.
