Default Need help on texturing!

Hi guys , thanks for clicking

Anyway , i got Gmax , and imported my first model from Rhinoceros 3d ( as a 3DS file) Now i have NO idea .. how to apply the Generals Textures on the tank i've created.

I've looked into the tutorials on Deezire's site , but all the image links arent working. So can someone please help me out? Thanks in advance.

Oh , before i forgot , this is the tank i'm speaking of

The USA TankHunter

Now the gray-scale is always boring , i hope i can get a textured version up soon. But first i need a "How-To"

Would be even more handier if the bloody image links were working :|

Anyway , it make's sense. But the pluging for PSP 7 doesn't work. Link is broken , same counts for the image's. So i'm kinda stalled

you dont need the DDS plugin, generals can read textures in either TGA or DDS format, it's up to you which one you want to use. More importantly though... im pretty sure that Gmax can't read DDS files.

the dds plugin is important so that you can open the game textures and learn from them.

yay! someone actually thinks my tut is good, lol. Most of the credit should goto henford though

Although, I have found a better way to skin, so I might be able to re-write it to make it ALOT easier.

Let me know if you do, I'll put it on GenDev.

this new way of skinning I discovered, isn't something that I made up... and there is a very good tutorial about it here -> http://www.chilliweb.co.uk/chilliski...ter_Truck1.htm
its for a more advanced model, but you can easily apply it to anything.

So I prolly won't re-write it =\
