Getting flags on buildings using upgrades...
This is what I want to happen;
-When you select the USA or UK subside button...your command center gets either the us or uk flags.
Has anyone messed with this stuff before? I tried working on this with the help of a friend and had no luck...
I am hoping its something really simple that we missed...

What about something like the TOW upgrade. When you upgrade, it adds a small part to the model that has a flag.

yeah, that's the TOW way. Or you could do it with the cold fusion reactor.
Or even better, the strategy center

This should be pretty easy, just make it upgrade based so that it shows the bone when the game starts. USA gets its radar upgrade straight away, look at the code for that and it will all fall into place.

Yup, make it so that your Radar Upgrade requires the science of the sub-side, then trigger your flag to appear with the radar upgrade.

errr, we arn't using radar like that....it doesn't come from cyards
The weapon set one seems to be the best option, but I want it to put up either the us flag or the uk flag. I think I might have to just make the us flag standard, and then if you pick the uk...you get that flag instead.

If this is possable, why not have a blank flag, when you choose a side, the model skin changes? Dont know if that would work...

Can you change a models revealed bones using sciences? If so you could do it that way, as each side is granted a side-based science as soon as the game starts ( so that it knows what science command set to look at ).
Just throwing out ideas, I dont really like the way youve suggested it with being US then picking UK, would seem pretty stupid ( and deliberately pro-american ) to anyone who wasnt a modder.
