Default Renegade General

Just for fun i've added units and structures from renegade to Zero hour... Those are Aladdins mechs which i really like... I've coded NOD and everything for works perfectly including the harvester gathering tiberian... I've started adding GDI coding and scaling... I still want to add the tiberian gas in the tiberian field that will kill infantry... maybe change them to mutants... right now i've been working on my tesla coil model... it needs a good texture and i've been spending alot of time trying to make a tesla bolt that doesn't look like rocket exhaust or a laser...

Scaleing seems to off a bit on some parts such as the mamoth tank is almost if not bigger than the temple of nod... And the tesla coild looks kinda lame.

tesla coil should have less "coils", build trhough on the lower one and make 3 or 4 big coils.

and it needs electrical thingy, but that's of later issue.

mammy reallt needs re-scaling and the temple needs to get "upscaled"

Yeah... i didn't realize how bad my eye sight was till i looked at the mammoth and compared it with the temple of NOD... i'll rescale them... heres a tesla ball weapon i made to fire from the tesla coil... i recolored the emp model then gave it a slow rocket locomotor so it kinda floats to its target then drops on it exploding into black napalm... i know its crazy but i needed something different than just another laser...

I also quite like that Tesla Coil, one thing though:
Take the bottom coil off the tesla and move the 2nd bottom one up. Then make it so that each ring is bigger than the one before it (going downward).

Alot of the scaling is very off and some of the textures dont look right.

looking good. i actually like the tesla coil exactly like it is... but im not to sure about the lighting ball thing... i dot know, i think id have to see it in action.

just scale things and you're set.

are you using the renegade infantry too?

Pretty Sweet indeed. Do you want to make the tesla coil to be the exact replica of Red Alert and Red Alert 2? It looks like you're making you're own 1 thou.

i wanted to make a comment about that too actually. i want to say WAY TO GO for not trying to make a carbon copy of it. i think that happens too much... people trying to just port other games over onto different engines. i mean, yeah, RA in generals or TS in generals would be cool... dont get me wrong, i really hope the TS to generals team sticks together long enough to release something... but here we have some INCREDIBLE tools at our disposal and no one seems to be making any super creative content. there are a few teams that are doing some really polished work and then... poof. nothing.

im just ranting now. and im off topic. sorry bout that.

but yeah, way to throw your own spin on it. dont be afraid to do that to other things too.

and im done.
