Default Noob Question:How to make a basic ZH mission? Any Tutorials?

Hello everyone, i tried the search function for missions, but nothing usefull came up.

Well anyway, i just wanted to know how to script and put AI in missions/skirmish maps. Any suggestions/tutorials, (besides that crappy Official WB tutorial, didn't help me at all.)

Sorry for my noobishness but...

PLZ RESPOND!!!

this is a tough question cause you can do so much with the scripting. you could download a single player mission from cnc den or something like that and examine all the scripts and stuff. thats what i did. its pretty straightforward once you figure it out. there arent a whole lot of "tricks" to it.

if you have a specific question like "how do i get Unit X to do blah blah blah" then you should post that.... that would be much easier to answer.

good luck.

EDIT: and one last thing... granted, its a question about something basic, but you dont have to say things like "sorry for the noobishness". everyone was a beginner at one time. if no one asked questions to gain knowledge, there would be little reason to have this forum at all.

Thank you for understanding,

It's starting to come to me now

THANX!! :color1: :color2: :color1: :color2:

One more thing, about the unit X to do what:

How do u get a unit to keep following waypoints, like to make a circle? :rockbrow:

Cuz at the end of one they get all screwed up and start goin crazy. :dead:

im not near my generals installation but i think this will do it. if you have a path that is a closed loop, im pretty sure you can use the "[unit] follows waypoint path EXACTLY" function.

but like i said, im not near my installation... so that may be wrong as i can check and verify. anyone else care to comment?

EDIT: ONE MORE THING.... dont forget to name your units and waypoint paths as you make them. and give your scripts names that make sense (not just script 1, script 2). it just makes everything a lot easier if things busy in your map.

i havent tried what you said about the waypoints but i made a good mission with the info from the first post.

EXCEPT...

the only thing that screws me up, :dizzy: about missions, is the begining movie/cinema/whatever you want to call it part. I tried to make a cool one but it just skipped over it and i played the mission from the start. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank god for MisterGoid....it looks like he's the only one who cares. :grumpy:
