W3D IMPORTER

Abjab has dissapeared, but Dante, the man who's responsible for the encrypted distribution, has recently adapted the script for Max4/max5.

http://www.derelictstudios.net/forum...showtopic=2363

I've tried it out and it works for Max4.
But there is apparently a problem with Max6 as the UI structure of Max6 has been changed.

So what? What do you expect me to do about it? :tard:

I've asked for patched max4/5 compatible script over a year ago. Dante refuses to give out the non-encrypted version. Period.
There is nothing that I can do, then to stare at the moon and watch daisies grow...

well can he make a encrypted version but applied for 3ds max v 4,5 or 6 ?
I mean is the only decent tool modelers have and he is the only one capable to do it ... its kind of idiotic to dont make your work up to date or even let people make it better .. giving credits to him ofcourse. I just dont get it ...
anyway what im goint to ask now will be kind of stupid but can you pm his msn ? or someway to contact him?

Thanks !

The problem is that Dante promised Abjab, the guy who made it, not to release an non-encrypted version.
And Dante is keeping his word, which is an honnerable thing to do, actually.
Many people have tried to persuade him before, but it is futile...

In case you didn't realise yet: the new version i've referred to IS MAX4/5 compatible. It's only the MAX6 version that doesn't work, because of the changes in the UI that come with max6.
Dante is aware of the MAX6 problem, so the only thing to hope for is that he can find the time and/or the will to fix the problem.

There is no reason you point your arrows at me. I'm powerless in this matter.
