Default World War I mod in the making help needed

Maybe they have some really good ideas. Just because you don't think it will be good, doesn't mean it won't be. And we all know what you are gonna say next... "Stop making that mod and help out Blitz2". Instead of shooting down every new mod, give them some support or don't say anything at all.

I could see it being cool. No mans Land and infantry rushes, etc. Might be a hard mod to make, but it could work.
Smurf, Noisys right, you are usually pretty negative towards mods other than your own. Simply because you got Flyby, Proclone, gracktov and RVMech to help you out doesn't mean you have to put everyone else down :S It is a community... How about offering some help to someone... this is a Generals Editing forum. That should be a requirement. You need to help at least one person seriously within a week on joining or you get banned Would be hard to keep track of though. I haven't really see anyone from the the Blitz 2 team help out any other mod or community. They seem to want to isolate themselves and eliminate all other mods which puzzles me. If not then please prove me wrong (cept your new member, killa).

proclone helped me out a lot when i first started.... although hes not with blitz anymore is he?

by the by, smurf.... even after the rerelease of the maps and stuff... sorry to say that AI isnt workin. also the power plant construction complete noise got stuck in a loop for me. did this happen to anyone else?

anyway... on topic... i think it would be fun. if you wanted to do the coding, you could make it a mod that focuses on infantry and infantry tactics rather than huge tank battles. maybe. i dont know. haha

FlyBy tried to help me when I first joined. Albiet, I was hopeless at 3d modeling.

The Blitz team has done alot for the community if you ask me.

More like flyby and proclone :P But Smurf can be a bit hostile when it comes to new people and new mods which is what we were talking about. I guess I'm wondering why and wasking if he could just stop and at least provide constructive critism instead of dooming the project.

WW1 mod.. Fantastic! Ive being waiting for one of these for ages.

I have a german A7V you could use..



i made it a while ago in boredom, the front of the model is a little inaccurate though.

/offtopic.. I also find it ironic, that smurf was all for proclones 'helping the community idea, yet he badmouths every new mod that comes along. Nice way to help the community.

That looks pretty cool Tanka although the housecolor spot may not be the best as its pretty small and not always visible. Its too bad Generals code doesn't although you to have turrets with restricted yaw movement (only pitch)

Could be fun, on condition you do your homework and don't go replicating Generals units and behavior with just different looking units.

In essence WWI is all about "turtling" and how to break through line defenses.
If done properly, you'll have the disgrunt of the "fast action" players and the 'praise & flowers" of the slower, tactical players...
