Default Deezire, I tnk ur only one who comes close to answer this

I am making a Tiberian Sun mod for Zero Hour. I need to know if it's possible, and/or if you will help us out with this (my request, can't contact team right now as they are all on other side of planet)

As it is a Tiberian Sun mod, GDI will be able to build Titans and MK2s.
I have done a lot of thinking on how to go about them, and that has led to this problem. I need the warfactory to display a different animation ONLY when these 2 units are constructed.

If you know the answer please say so, and if your willing to help us out a little please contact Deafwasp@cnc-source.com for more information on the issue.

Note: GDI will not normally build Mammoth MK2s in my mod. I was just playing around with my models in that screenie.

Wow, good looking models. Is this the same Tiberian sun mod announced a while back? BTW I don't think its possible unless you use some funky hack coding that I have no clue about.

As far I can see, there is no way you can trigger a ConditionState on object A when object B is created.
All conditionstates are always relating to the concerned object and are never referring to an external object.

to give you an example:

The ConditionState CLIMBING relates to the unit performing the climb so the animation will be played when the infantry is climbing, but you can NOT have an animation played on the warfactory while the infantry is climbing...got that?

I do believe it is possible, with an upgrade for example.

Yes... an upgrade that adds an object to the warfactory (via overlordcontain or american drone logic ) and then you have to select that object (it would have to be as big as the warfactory itself, and have the same model) and build those units. The added object must have the animations that you want to be displayed only when the titans and mk2's are built. The added object must also be destroyed once one of those units is built (look at the module guide, it is one of the most useful modding tools I have encountered so far).


It might seem a bit complicated but it should be possible that way. The only drawback would be that you have to make an upgrade before you build one of those units. Ah, and added object must also have an UpgradeDie module to free the upgrade again.

I hope I have expressed this clearly enough..

Could you not get them dropped off by Carry All's at a "drop zone" as a sort of upgrade to purchase them ? . This would make it interesting when it comes to getting them if your in the middle of the map and your enermies have you surrounded ( though you could get them so they cant be destroyed till the leave ( the Carry All's ). But you can spawn them like an airstrike and drop them off at your dropzone.

Coutldn't you make it so that the titan/mm2 crouches when it is leaving the factory? Like a special animation for when it is made, instead of modifying the whole war factory. I remember someone made a mod that has renegade, ts, and ra units in addition to the ones in ZH. Can't remember his name though.

No you didn't. And only good skinners who can also UVWmap the models as well.

And facehugger, I thought of that. It is not the way to go here. I have made the dicision on it already. And that guys mod is crappy and uses stolen models.

Just a thought that may trigger a better idea,

could you make a commandset upgrade (similar to fake buildings) which also triggers an animation.

Then in that upgraded commandset you have your construct buttons for your two models.

Just a thought.....
