Default cnc kings needs help

we need some help with infantry. We have many modelers capable of making the infantry, but no one has a clue how to correctly bone and animate the infantry using completely new skeletons. The difficulty seems to be in attaching the model to the skeleton, so for this oldfaq's tutorial is useless as it requires an already used skeleton. So, to the point, anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem, and is anybody willing to help model the infantry, as at the moment only one person is working on the infantry.

Thanks,

Sam

Yes, we need help with making complete new infantry skeletons and attaching them to the models. If anybody is not willing to directly help us we could at least use instructions on how this is done. So far the only person I've heard who has made a completely new infantry skeleton is Henford.

its actually pretty easy...
just add bones to the "joints" then link the knee to the hip bone, and the ankle to the knee bone. then link the upper leg to the hip bone, and the lower leg to the knee bone, and last link the foot to the ankle bone. then select the hip bone and go to the animations menue. there select "limb solver" under the helper menue or something, I'm not sure.
Then you'll see a dotted line appear from the hip bone to your mouse cursor. next just click on the ankle bone and a 3D cross should appear on the ankle bone. If it doesnt you did something wrong.
You'll notice that when you selct the cros and move it, the entire leg wil follow, using the knee and hip as joins.
now do the other legs and even arms if you need to and save it the entire model as the skeleton.
you're done.

Attaching the mesh to the bones is covered in the WWSKIN instructions that comes with RenX (the renegade tutorials).

Once you have knowledge of that it isnt very hard to apply it to generals. The only thing after that is properly animating the infantry, which is more a matter of knowledge and practice than something you can pick up in a tutorial.
