Default How to edit W3D model with HEX editing?

I used to mod a game called "Freedom Force" that the model can modified with hex editing method so I was wondering can Generals be edited with HEX? can I modified some minor geometries and change the scale with HEX? If Yes how to do like that and where the address of scale value?

I don't think so.... You can change the overall scale of the model in the INI but I don't think you can change the lengths of each individual bit. The easiest way to edit the models form Generals is to use Gmax from www.discreet.com. You will also need the RenX gamepack for it which was available from the Westwood site last time I looked. Both are free

You can adjust the scale in the ini's, but I don't believe you can edit the geometry. You can also apply reskins using hex editing.

I already downloaded both tools but someone told me "If you are using gmax+renx+w3d importer, you must re-assign all new bone system" Is not that rigth?
