Okay, i got this laser thing in the particle editor. I'm gonna do it like a weapon trail, and my coder is going to make it the trail of an invisible projectile.

My problem is that the particles always face the screen. This can look pretty screwed up if you look at the wrong angle.

Any ideas to fix this? Thanks.


BTW-- i had to get the particle editor in regular Generals.. it would always crash with ZH.

never had that happen before but you could try increasing the lifetime and decreasing the burtst until you get it in 1 texture (so it wont need to generalte multiples behind each other.

and maybe its even irrelevant because they might allign to the vieuwpoint ... if you kake it static and THEN rotate it, it might be off but I dont think that will happen in-game

I think we are going to scratch it and just do a projectile... not all this particle stuff. (That is, unless we get someone else to do it... I can't figure this out)

However, we will have to use a particle-type effect for the lightsabers.
