Could any one be so kind as to show me to a tutorial on how to do Upgrades or explain on how to code them? (Hopefully with little words and big pictures )

normal upgrades ?
of what type ?
there are several different.
Basicly its the Upgrade.ini in which you "define" an upgrade, and with the commandbutton.ini you direct a button to go to that particular upgrade, and in the factionunit.ini you specify what is affected by it.
just open those 3 files and then lookup the humvee TOW upgrade for instance.

this is sort of to simple to make a complete tutorial on, not worth the time.
Just experiment a bit for yourselves, and learn in the process

Basically I am trying to do two separate upgrade types.

Weapon replacement and Unit enhancement

1. I want to replace a units default weapon with a new weapon type(ie Raptormissle into Raptor Laserguided Missle)

2. I want to add new functions/abilities(ie Stealth ability added to the Commanche)

ZH ini coding is somehwat confusing to me since everything is spread all over the place

Upgrade.ini defines the upgrade, you need a module in the ini of the object you want to change, and you need a command button to purchase the upgrade. If you use MSN, add me (mastermind2004[at]gendev.origin-network.net) and I can give you a hand.

a method I use when not sure what I'm doing is to extract all the INI files, and then run windows search through them for something to look at, you get all the INI's in which it is present
