Default Us Ranger with GLA Rebel Animation ? :>

Hi, I'm trying to make a simple mod, I started by making a new skin for the us rangers, it looks ok but I don't like the way the rangers carry there weapon, I would like to make them carry it like the Gla Rebels :/

I'm also looking for a simple tutorial about adding new units.. for example I would like to use the blackhawk model from another mod but I don't know what to copy/paste in the .ini files and all.. :tard: And I know it's not good to copy stuff from other mods but I ll probably be the only one using the mod im making, it's not like I'm gonna release it on internet

ok, i am not totally sure about the animation, but for the code, just im me on aol, sn is jmb8785, i always have it on so... umm ill be available all weekend, and done by 4 on friday, so just message me whenever, I also have some models and stuff u can use, as long as its for personal use, and if u ever release your mod just have my name in there.

For the aniamtions you need to replace the _STA and _RNA animations for the ranger.TO do this you need gmax and the renx gamepacks.Animating a running human is quite difficult to make look good.

thanks keyop, and yeah i can see how animating a person is hard. is there a way to copy over another units animation.

Maybe it would be better if I just use the Gla Rebel model/anim and change the skin to make it look like a modern us soldier.

Well, I guess you could try exporting the model(_SKN) of one with the skeleton(_SKL) of another.You would need to WWSkin the model to the skeleton in Gmax and then export it.Then jsut use your modified skellymodel for the condition states for running and standing.
