A great fake idea?
I was wondering if this is possible. I want GLA's fake structures to produce fake units (I know that's possibe). These fake units would have a negative value on the experience they provide when killed (is that possible?). I can just imagine the tactical possibilities done when mass producing fake units and send them to a suicide mission for allah... it's a great way to prevent the enemy from acquiring general promotions!
I'll test this idea later.

Interesting, yeah, you should try this, and this is mostly easy INI coding.

just one thing, you should make it so u can only build so many fake units. But its a great idea, because it brigns the GLA stragety to a new level. And as mish said, it is really easy coding.

Making it lower expierience is pretty stupid though. Would piss me off to loose all my hard earned expierience to a few cheap fake units.

Ah, yes that would piss me a WHOLE LOT MORE too... just proving how tactically effective the whole thing is (it's a shame AI doesn't have emotions like this don't you think).
The models will stay the same, but a few adjustments will be made to drastically reduce the effectivity of their weaponset and armorset... in return they will build 30% faster and cheaper. That would implement the design just fit for fake.
But to implement balancing issues they would only deduct a bit of experience points say 20 30 50 60 (normal - heroic). And for cheaper fake units: 10 20 40 50 (normal - heroic). So that's about it. The player would have to decide to invest his resources in fakes which is not effective in actual fights but prevents opponents to acquire promotion. Of course the downside to this is if you ran less on funds for building a real army then you'll be the sitting duck if your opponent unleash his army to you.
I'm thinking if I should implement this idea exclusively to Prince Kassad. I already granted Kassad with Fake Scud Stroms (but it can't be turned to real ones, and its a build limit of 4 so that would teach those auroras to plan a foolproof strike). And I already gave Kassad the Sneakier Attack, a stealthed sneak attack tunnel. And the GPS Scrambler II, a gap generator type of GPS. So why not implement fake units for him too altogether so it would result in mod design consistency.
I mean since devious tactics are Kassad's specialty.

Or maybe, not just Kassad but the entire GLA. But Kassad get to do fakes, let's say earlier in the game while the rest of the GLA needs to have a level three promotion to get the fake science.

Well I got a fake unit in, the weapons doe 0.000000001 damage so they can attack and you wouldn't know they were fake unless you were only using the fake units on an enemy.
