im having a problem whenever i try to save a photoshop file that has alpha channel transparency information in it as a dds. i get an error message that says "unsupported file input" instead of the normal options box. i know it has to do with the alpha channel because if i delete it, i can save it fine. has this ever happened to anyone? can everyone else save as a dds if there is an alpha channel in the file?

save the psd as a jpg, then reopen the jpg and drag the alpha on to it and save the jpg as a dds.
