Default Please Help with coding lasers (please please)

I have been modding for a few weeks and have come accross the visual problem of making the laser skin actually appear when my col.burt/laser ranger/laser humvee etc fires. Rather it fires from the base of the model and not from the gun. How do i make the laser appear from the model's weapon?

On either the laser object or the weapon (possibly both), you need to specify which of the object's bone the laser should originate from.

Most of them have a standard set of bones defined in the art section. Like the humvee:
Code:
WeaponFireFXBone = PRIMARY Muzzle
WeaponMuzzleFlash = PRIMARY MuzzleFX
Or on the missile defender:
Code:
WeaponMuzzleFlash = PRIMARY MuzzleFX
WeaponFireFXBone  = PRIMARY Muzzle
WeaponLaunchBone  = PRIMARY Muzzle
WeaponLaunchBone  = SECONDARY Muzzle
So Muzzle is usually the one you need, but it can change depending on the unit. And you always need to say WHICH muzzle it should be, even if it only has one. So you actually need to put in Muzzle01 or Muzzle02.

Lasers are different than normal weapons though. So you have to define the origin bone in the weapon object (as opposed to the unit object) in weapon.ini.
