Default basic max question

hey guys... i have a basic max question. i mean come on. read the title.

how do you make a plane 2 sided? im used to maya. i dont know how to do it in max.

You make a box, then you get a knife, photograph the monitor, print it out, and cut off the excess. Now scan it in and import it in gmax.

thats kind of like what ive been doing... ive been making a box then just welding so its flat.

but then there is a poly on both sides, and i think if you make a plane 2 sided, its still one poly, you can just see it on both sides. but i could be wrong.

can anyone confirm this?

of course you can, you must make two planes then, and then attach them.

In max materials there's a box called '2side' check that and it will make anything with that material double sided.

haha but guess what. fyi, people. just because something isnt two sided in max doesnt mean it wont be in generals. :tard:

You can also make a plane, then go into subobject mode "border" (i think it's called that) select the only border there is and select "cap".
