Formation
Good day everyone. I was just wondering if it is possible to code it so teh raptors and others fly in formation. I know all about the formation for ground and what not, but i hate the way it works, i was wondering if its possible to have like in ages of empires, when the unit turns they still are in the same formation. Also, is it possible to do this with ground units, I want to see my rangers march in formation, and keep the formation.

I doubt it is possible. But you never know when someone pops up with the solution, so good luck.

Ingame, nah its probably not. But, you can make a w3d, of several things flying or moving in formation, and sota make a movie w3d, they do that in all of ZHs movie sequences. :P

But then things don't die the way you want them too, the animations would be rather odd.
Rangers marching in formation? That's more of a medievil or fantasy battle thing really.

Which probably weren't player controlled - instead they used premade map triggers and tags, not ini edited unit profiles.

That would kick ass, if they could walk in formations, instead of a wierd bunch, and with formations i mean wedge, line and so on, so they dont just walk everywhere, and in the end walk where you dont want them too.
