Default How to edit AI Scripts?

Hi I'm new here and I've seen that alot of you are master modders. I'd like to ask how do I edit the AI Scripts? When I open scirmishscripts.scb in WorldBuilder and edit some of it, it doesn't work in-game. When I start up all that happens is that all my buildings just sell off and I lose. Could anyone help me or point me into the direction of a tutorial?

Do you buildings sell themselves, or do they blow up?

The faction folders are imported incorrectly with WB..I suspect you are exporting the incorrect folders causing the AI to sell off what it believes does not belong in its build tree.

All my buildings just sell themselves. If World Builder doesn't import the Faction Folders properly, what can I do about it?

Have you messed with the build list (aidata.ini) ?


What exactly have you changed in the scripts?



Are you using ZH or regular generals?

editing the ai.ini like adding a new faction skills and skirmish is making a tech error so how to make the new faction playable with the ai and how to make an edited ai file....Note that no stupid steps are done although thins are not working properly why ?

I've played around with AIdata.ini, but I haven't messed with buildlists. All I have changed is the Poorbuildrate, wealthybuildrate, etc. so could that be the problem? I'll try and see. And these scrips take aaages to load up (like 25 mins) even on my fast cpu!

I noticed turning off verify makes it load much faster. Not sure what that does though.

hey i have a similar problem, every time i mes with the aidata.ini a technical error occurs, i need to know plz how to put ai for a new made faction how to create an ai for a new general i think it is critical for a complete mod.
