Default Imported animation in Gmax problem

Is there a fix yet for the imported animation bug in Gmax? It looks like an axis orientation problem.

I mean writing a new script to do it. detail of the w3d format is needed. without it, I have to test and test and test and test....tediously.
I build a simple object like box, animate and export it, and do these again, then compare the 2 files to crack the format.
