Well, it really depends on how it will be balanced with the rest of the gameplay.Id have to play it.

A good point.

There are no mobile factories in generals, but balancing is of course something that must be taken care of.

yeah
my game will be well balanced of course
since i am a kind of game critic
the side will also have other buildings with slow hover locomotors and only the power plants and and defences are immobile and possibly the command center

this would add a whole new level of gaming, dont you think?

Yes it would be somehow similar to the human structures in starcraft. This is possible in generals too, to make structures mobile with a button, by the use of an upgrade of course.

I did this a while back, and well I tried to make it so you can select multiple mobile barracks and be able to select infantry to build by using the OK_FOR_MULTI_SELECT and even when I click the infantries button it wont build them, but if I select a single mobile barracks and click a button it will build the infantry. Can someone help with this?

when i select the units i wont let me build but when i only select 1 i can build

i know its like starcraft
(infact i remember being in opposition to the idea, maybe it was vanguard)
but the fact is this wont have a space setting and they will just hover really slow

does anyone know how i can make it so they dont build land units over water?
maybe instead they could store them inside untill they are on land
