The Blitzkrieg 2 and Derelict Studios Bashing Thread!
In an effort to save topics from getting embroiled in thread-hijacking, I am making this topic. At worst, this'll just turn into another big flame fest topic but even then...it would hopefully stop people from posting about it in non-related threads. At best, maybe we can address some issues here.
Something I don't quite get is why people are starting to flame Derelict Studios...when their real target is Blitz2. There are more DS members than Blitz2 members...since Blitz2 is just one of the six mods in DS.

The flames and such are fueled by the fact that TFH has come to define itself as the "anti-blitz2". I personally have nothing against TFH or the people that work for the team (minus mongoose...I can't stand that guy). I can respect the fact that they have survived this long, and have come to be certain that they will release (something that most mods never do).
Anyways, if you have any problems about Blitz2 or DS...state it here. Don't go hijacking threads. If you are going to post, please make sure to include things to back it up.

I am totally fed up with this.
Just because both mods are set in World War 2 gives everyone the right to compare them, right? Thus this major competition thing goes on and on untill both mods are at eachothers throats and squeazing.
As a team member of both mods I am saying now that the two mods ARE VERY DIFFERENT! Please will everyone stop comparing these mods? Does anyone compare Blitz 2 with Nova WW3 CtA? Does anyone compare TFH with Second Wave? NO! The only reason people compare Blitz 2 and TFH is because they're both set in WW2, in my mind that is just pathetic.
The setting may be the same, but the gameplay is very different. There is no grounds here for direct competition.
IMHO even if the gameplay was similar there really isn't any need for some kind of compeition or mod bashing. Just run your own race Kind of a bad anology there cause its about compeition, but you get the idea if you've heard the expression before I mod because a) I like to create this b) I like to play video games and c) I need to practice my programming so I don't feel a need to compare myself to others or compete in any way.
I was happy to join Blitz 2, even though I was already working in TFH, but if you ask any other TFH member to do the same you'd probably get dirt kicked in your face. I didn't feel that I needed to 'beat' blitz in any way. I do this because I enjoy the model making and the thrill of seeing my models on the battlefield. I couldn't care which mod they're in.
Popularity just isn't an issue with me anymore. My old tank building tutorials have nearly reached 500,000 hits, doesn't bother me. People just know that if they have a model releated problem they can ask me, and if I can I will help them out or teach them ways of doing it, which in turn makes me feel better about myself.
