Default .dds to .tga converter
I need to extract skins into photoshop etc and then put them back in but i have had no luck in opening the dds files. IS there a way to do this in photoshop? or do i need a converter? if so where can i get a good one?

Um. Photoshop isn't free. And so I doubt anyone is going to tell you how to illegally download it.

If yous don't want to pay the extorsionate prices for photoshop, I would recommend Paint Shop Pro. It can use the DDS plugin, and has many features, but is about 10% of the price

DL Irfanview (google it... do a little work at least)
and DL Serif Photo Plus - again google it (FREE is my favorit four letter word!)

REASON FOR EDIT - I mispelled Irfanview (i typed infranview)
