Default The Great War is in need of a skilled coder!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Great War, a TC for Zero Hour, is in need of a skilled coder very baddly. Squire and Bdmboy are getting the models skinned and ready really fast and doing a great job at it. But at the moment we only have 1 unit in0game, and it doesnt even have its weapons in yet!!!! So I ask for a skilled coder who is expierienced and can code pretty much everything, but if that is not possible then at least units. Please contact me if you are interested at: v_schiavi@hotmail.com (that is my email and MSN).

You can check out a video of our only unit In-game here:
http://dynamic6.gamespy.com/~thegreatwar/MkVLow.wmv

That is the MK V. Also here are some random screenshots of Squires recent models:

Note : Corrected texture on gun mount

Those were done by Squire and Bdmboy our modelers. So like I said above a coder is needed baddly. Please contact me if you are interested.

Thank you

Well, i would help you BUT i am working with the Trench Warfar mod. Anyway i'll be hornest with you about them models and tell you how you can make them better.

1st.
Very nice skin on the gun turret, but the big problem is that you have got like 600 poly per wheel and thats not good for a building thats going to get made lots.

2nd.
The skin needs some better maping and the skin has to much detail in it for RTS so it will blur, even if you have got new dds settings and if you do then the maping really needs to be fixed up. once again you have gone over bored on some wheels that you wont even be abel to see much.

3rd.
Well i don't know what to say about the sikn other than wow, But you need to put more model detail into it you are nothing to have 20 chappels in one town. there is some maping problems.

4th.
Well that is some bad maping and some parts of the model and skin look like they are rushed, the bricks are good but to planes and just don't look WW1. I suggest re making this model.

Hey Mongoose, when i see your models i might listen to you :P as it is, the models done for Trench Warfare are nothing to write home about. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, friend.

Anyways the French 75 will not be a common Artillery unit, and its total poly count is only 900 anyways. So if 600 polys per wheel = 1200 PLUS the gun carriage and barrel. Mesathinkin your maths is off. :P

You do realise that i have spoken with Uruk-Hai and we have agreed that we will trade models in the future if both models are satisfactory for both mods.

Squire James

Well I may not be a Skinner or a modeler, but I do know good models when I see one. All of these are extremely well done in my opinion. So Squire keep it up!

As I said before we are looking for a coder for our team. The mod is dead without one. So please contact me at v_schiavi@hotmail.com

Some one help them out! If I wasn't already working on 4 mods I'd give hand...and even now it is tempting to offer. Anyways, they deserve to have a coder who gives this #1 priority.

If I wasn't working on 6 mods I'll help out too....

Those things must get ingame! I know some good coders but they're all working on at least two mods..or are busy elsewhere

Guys them skins look good now (tanks) but they will suck as hard as a vacume cleaner or tankas mum. now on to the polysgons, there are lots of usless ones and thats not good if you want to make a big rush of tanks. Guys i am not saying they suck cuz i am working for Trench warfear but they fact the is willl be shocking ingame. and thats what matters not the renders.........
