Is it possible to make a 3d model of those shell casings come out when fired? What I'm asking is that I would like to make large shell casings pop out of tanks and the sort and I don't know if this will work.
Well, you're going to need it! Like Pestilence said, import the current shell, reapply the skin (if it has a skin!), change the size/shape, export it to a differant W3D name, the make a new entry in WeaponObjects.ini (or any INI really), and finally, make the change in Weapons.ini so the weapon fires your new projectile. Complicated, huh? :lol:
at the weaponojects.ini you need to create a new object. this has also said pcteen...
but you need to give the new "object" at model in the w3ddrawmodule the name o the *.w3d file!
I know what to do, it is just that I think the shell casings that are launched from a machine gun are a dds or a tga texture and not a 3d model. So I asked if I can make a larger 3d one that is launched from tanks.
they are all 3d objects, they have to be or there color and textures would not show up. even teh bullets from all guns in the game are just a long crossplaned rectangles with a white textures applied.
Well it shouldn't be hard for me to make what I have planned. Btw, I'm trying to make a new particle effect for the tomahawk launcher. Its called the Plasma bomb. Does anyone what to test it out? If so, post your e-mails and say what you think of it.
