Default Amphibious Dozer

Is there a way to set the distance above/below ground on certain sufaces?

What I mean is that I made an amphibious dozer, it went on water fine, but it was on top of the water :| I want it to be submersed (not completely) when it goes in the water.

If there is a way, please can someone tell me how?

If there isn't a way, then please could someone tell me a way of getting around this?

I saw a topic a while ago but it was probably lost.

What might be better for the USA and China is having construction chinooks and helix which require the tech centre however can only build certain land structures and they can build water bound structures, this would solve the problem, maybe have it go to a special structure, load up with materials then fly to the construction site build it say 20% then fly back for more materials. Something like that.

You could try an amphibious locomotor for your dozer, make sure these values are used though:

PreferredHeight = 0.1
AllowAirborneMotiveForce = Yes
ZAxisBehavior = SURFACE_RELATIVE_HEIGHT
Appearance = HOVER

You could check the US hover craft landing vessel, it's in the CivilianUnit.ini named "AmphibiousTransport".

Good luck.

you could try out an animation which ends with an negative position(i mean the dozer is under the x-axis) of the "hoverdozer".
then create an new conditionstate = over_water
there you must write:
Code:
animation = yourdozermodel.yourdozermodel
AnimationMode   = ONCE
in defaultconditionstate you must write:
Code:
animation = yourdozermodel.yourdozermodel
AnimationMode   = ONCE_BACKWARDS
Flags           = START_FRAME_LAST
i hope you can create animations....
