well thats the trouble, as long as the right sized airfield exists they will go there, but if the Handley-Page's base it destroyed, it might try and fly to, say a recently build small airfield
I wonder if you could make the C10 scale up in size when it takes off and is flying. :/ That may work.
That's a GREAT idea!! You just using the conditionstate JETEXHAUST to use the bigger animation, and give it a one-time animation that makes it grow. It's kinda Real War style (hate that game with a passion!!) but it'll work.
But ... to avoid a BIG plane landing on an airport for small aircrafts ...
When an airport is blown into exceptional small pices, couldn't you loose the aircrafts? Instead of having them to try land at another airport? Or make them fly of the map? I think I saw something about that in code last time...
But how can you then avoid having an aircraft beeing designated to wrong airfield? (force them to land)
I like the idea of starting with a small airport and adding new extensions to house bigger and better planes. First have just two garages, smallish for jets ... then a modest update (maybe expensive?) that will build a new bigger garage - maybe add a longer runway ... etc ... more updates will create a full-scale airbase that can hold all types of aircraft units. Even the huge stealth bomber that drops the MOAB.
prob lies when the orginal airfield is destroyed. Planes will fly to the closest freindly and land there. Can't stop that. I like the changing scale of the model answer, so all planes can land anywhere. makes the most sense to me and is the path of least resistance.
Damn it - The Generals engine is a pain sometimes, a real idea killer.
I'll have look at this "scale" thing... It just look weird with a c130 at a raptor size ...
I was thinking of having an option of loading the c130 with soldiers or vehicles, but if the aircraft is parked in a strange position then it would look even sillier having all this stuff walk amongst aircrafts...
