what you mean, with only Generals?, i use it on Zero Hour, and so far the only .wnd i remember it dind'topen was the 1 of the challenge .wnd files (the one wich shows the bio and info about the general, works), so hmm

just wondering, did you tried to right click on it choose properties go to compatibility and choose the compatibility mod of win 98?, it worked on me, only now i noticed i had done it

Command Line Parameters of Generals Zero Hour

You can add these useful command-line parameters to your Generals shortcut.

-noshellmap : Disables "Shell Map", the battle demo that you see in the game's main menu.

-nologo : Disables the annoying EA logo, the bink movie.

-quickstart : Disables the sizzle movie.

'-quickstart' also prevents the game reading the WindowTransitions.INI file, I dont advise using it. You can also use '-win' for running the game in a window.
