Default Chrono Tank teleporting

Well heres a case of something simple giving me a big headache.

I've created a chrono tank/chrono science and it works perfectly. The unit has a commandset button that when pressed teleports it to any place on the map thats not fogged. The chrono science is given when the chronosphere is constructed.

My problem should be simple but its given me a big headache. I can't kill the first chrono tank so in effect i'm creating a second chrono tank at the new location and the original remains without dying.

Is there a good idea for killing the original?

Its hard to get a good screenshot that shows the swirling motion of the chrono vortex it warps through. You really have to look closely to see it in this shot but trust me its very kewl.

rather than destroying the original unit and creating another, what about this the tank creates a portal object, enters, the portal object gets a one shot "weapon" you target for your exit point. when you fire it, it creates portal object two, then portal one dies, portal two autofires a deploy weapon (like the crawler) spitting out the tank, and then poofs as well. the main flaw i see is sending ten tanks into thier own portal ones, hiting the weapon, and dumping them all out one portal.

but htis method will not save the health points ...
i would say that he should create an new locomotor which is only used when the button is activated...

sorry left out part. meant to say the two portal objects use the same redirecting system as the tunnel network. sort of a point to point temporary tunnel network.

you know what... i think kurairyu's idea is the best chrono idea so far.
atleast that way you can keep the health/vet status.

now the only thing is to make them go through the "portal" and come out the other side without you having to manually do it.
