Default The Imperial Assault is Coming

I don't know if you guys have noticed but we have been having a screenshot week at Imperial Assault.

There are many pics showing off well alot of stuff including the Hoth Battle Shellmap.

Yeah, the new shellmap is coming along very nicely. Not to mention some of the other screens, with the Xwing vs Tie interceptor being my favorite.

We are not doing the AT-AT/C as it was not needed at all.

Currently we don't have any ingame pics of the AT-AT. But we will probaably in the next few weeks.

I had the idea a few days ago of asking one of our modelers to make Death Star Trench sections for well you know what.

Actually we did have an AT-AT in-game.....sort of. We are going to redo it to give the people the best of quality. Here is the WIP we had going. We will be redoing it.

nice work

did you guys scale up the infantry? they look quite big, or is everything scaled to be larger? (as compared to generals, because the environmental objects look really small)

btw i think the lighting on the hoth map/shellmap should be made brighter, with a slight blue hue i know it can be any time of the day, but many people still have images of the battle at hoth from the film and other games in their heads, and it's always portrayed in bright daylight, with rather heavy and white snow
and i think the terrain should be made predominantly snow and ice, there shouldnt be any of the "concrete" texture on the battlefield itself

also, there is some inconsistency in the screenshots shown, sometimes the screens look great, with settings all maxed out, but someimes everything is blurry, no 3d or even 2d shadows, and sensible composition is also lacking in quite a few shots(focal point, focus of activity and so on), maybe set out some guidelines within the team on how screenshots(for public viewing, especially for such a dedicated "screenshot week" event) should be taken

That is because not all the screens come from 1 person alone . I always run my game on the max settings, and my screens come out very well. Others just dont run their settings high as to limit the lag in their game.
