Need design tips for my tank model

Well I model alot these days, and I was trying to create some armour for "the bad guys". The idea is that they buy a "standard chassis" from "another country" ... and then modify this chassi with whatever weapons they like ( because most of that tech is stolen )...

So I found a drawing that is supposed to be from a magazine discussing "future russian tank design" ... anyway ... I wanted to create something that looked different

But the MBT tank ... looks so simple, I would like to add more details, or make it look more .... I don't really know. I'm not a tank designer... so any tips would be nice.

for a MBT the turret is poorly designed. The crew inside would be cramped, and the flat armour would be highly vunerable to any large calibre shells. Look at the turret of a T-80. . Also , try to add a cupola to the top of the turret, to add more detail. Of course, this could be added by a texture

Actually, the next generation of russian tanks will utilize a new "unmaned gunpod", so there wouldn't be anybody in the turret

As for adding more detail... Maybe add some little things that would be added to the tank like smoke grenade launchers or something

Also, I've never seen that tank design before... Is that what the Black Eagle is supposed to look like? Cause from what I've heard the russians don't plan to use it, just to export it

The black eagle (t-84) is a tank that is more or less finnish, they were supposed to only export it, but it is probably so good that they want to keep it...

There is talk about the t-95, which there exist no pictures, and those drawings that exsist is fake. Anyway I found a drawing that is probably just a drawing, the tank doesn't exsist, or are planed to be made.

The small turret is made by intension, and I was thinking it would look radicaly different from standard tanks.

... smoke grenade launchers is too small to be put on, I was thinking moreof hatches, periscopes, or something like that.

hmmm... I thought the T-94 was the tank the Russians were making for themselves, but I could be wrong. Also I thought the reason there were no pics was that the T-94 was top secret, but usually when the Russians refuse to talk about something it means they're to poor to build it :/

Also, there wouldn't technically be a periscope on the tank, but there would be a camera on the turret, and it looks like you already added hatches...

it maybe the next generation non manned turrets, its much better looking if it has a missile / bullit bouncer thingy... either way i just mean make the turret have a round shape

Yes, the turret probably would still be round, but if you want to keep that one, and if your not too concerned about realizm... maybe make it upgradeable with a rocket pod or something :devil:

Also if you want to give the turret a rounded look, this website has some good drawings of the Black Eagle

Na... If I wanted a Black Eagle ... I would have made one. But I can make the turret look more ... edgy...

I was thinking of using an enormous gun on it .... maybe create a twin-barrel turret as upgrade since I don't want the tank become invincible, as it would with rockets... but I'm not sure since I have no plans for what balance there should be in the mod.
