Default No User Maps?

Hey guys,i have a real bad situation. I just got a new PC and after installing Generals, it ran great but when i went to pick the user made maps that i downloaded, they don't show up.that section was EMPTY.

Now in windows ME, Generals created a folder called "COMMAND AND CONQUER GENERALS DATA" under the My Documents folder, but it doesnt do that in XP PRO.

I also know that many user maps install said to place the maps in their own folder in the COMMAND AND CONQUER GENERALS DATA" under the Documents and Settings in XP but it doesnt do that either.

I made a COMMAND AND CONQUER GENERALS DATA folder and placed it in Documents and Settings and placed the maps there but the game doesnt read them,it just reads the official maps.

No matter where i placed this folder, the game never reads the user maps and i reinstalled the game 3 times.

Please guys, help me out cause i have been trying to figure this out for over 12 hours  this is very stressful.

I have the current patch which is 1.07
My system is a:
P4 3GHZ
XP PRO
128mb NVidia 5200
512 MB RAM

C:\Documents and Settings\(your account name that you use)\My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Data\Maps

Are you the administrator of XP Pro or do you just got an account on there, that may also be a factor...

Instead of creating a new Data folder, like the GameData.ini should do for you, try bypassing it and plonking both the map and it's tga file (if it has one) into your CnC Generals folder in a new directory called 'maps' - that should do the trick.

For each file do the following:
1) Rick Click the file and click open.
2) Chose Select "Program from a list" and click O.K.
3) Click browse and find the worldbuilder that the map was for
4) Uncheck "Always use the selected program to open this type of file" cos if it is ticked then Generals maps will open up in ZH or the oposite error and Worldbuilder will crash
5) Once the map has loaded up Go to File--->Save as. Select User Maps and save it.

May take a while if you have a lot of maps though but it is a temporary way till you find the Data folder.
