Both military and civilian individuals have spent time in trees. Whether it's Jane Goodall, who spent like 5 years in a tree with apes.
OR
A sniper hiding in a tree.
My question to you is this. It's a far fetched idea, from what I've heard, for Generals, but can infantry garrison A tree or a group of trees. For the group you maybe create a new set in WB.
You would have to fiddle around with the tree objects, but it's possible. But ask yourself if you even WANT to do it, because there's lots of trees, and you'll have to change them all!
Of course it is possible u make two buildings... "one tree" and "group of trees" ... and then u put those instead of al trees in the game... and u make it act like bunker of some kind.. just with less armor...
at first when i read this i thought it was a cool idea...
now the more i think about it the more it becomes a stupid idea because:
a) you can crush trees so they wont be much defense
b) they are TREES so they wont be much defense... have like 3 HP
and c) you will have to change the tree model when it's garrisonned... but to what? a tree with sandbags?
Ah, good point, but take note of my 2nd example. Sniping.
During the Vietnam war, the Viet Cong and NVA would hide snipers in the trees to pick off infantrymen. Today, sniping is a widespread method, because of Vietnam. This civilian hunter is making use of trees aswell.
Using animations and stuff, we may stick a sniper in a tree and make him visible. It's not like he'll be hiding INSIDE the tree :P
