I would assume that if your interested in modding it than you would want ALL the info available. I've taken examples of Renegade skins and models just to play with and see in Generals. I'm glad the new LOTR game will use the same INI's and W3d files. I hope they do not remove some coding such as vehicle properties like the Turret stuff. I'm sure they will cause it's not relevant. Maybe they'll keep it in just to see what we do with it. Hehe.

I don't remember where but I remember Harvard saying that they still included the code to make tanks. Besides almost every major gaming company has thought of the modding community for the simple fact if a game has a strong modding community it has a longer selling life. Just look at Half-Life.

In a nutshell: If you own Generals, get ZH!

Everything is better and easier for modding. Plus in ZH, EA actually included all the models they haven't used, which is really great if you wanna make a mod that brings all that stuff back in, or just get some cool new models.

And even if you don't mod (what the heck are you doing here ), it improves game experience substantially. Especially multiplayer: with the seperate Generals it's a blast!

So are your saying that with the LOTR's game, you could import orcs into Generals?

Man if you could do that, you would be able to bring back the BRUTE.

Sounds like Warhammer 40k :P

I wouldn't mind seeing an Original Warhammer (I.E Grudgebringers, Dwarves, Wood Elves, Imperial Army etc) mod for BFME. It would work quite nicely i think.
