Default Amphibious crusader again?

I've seen a few screenies from the beta at various sites on the net that show a version of the crusader on water. If one site is to be believed these graphics are still in the game files.

So does anyone know how to re-enable the crusader with the old (amphibious) graphics and amphibious movement capability? I'd try myself, but what little modding skill I have extends only as far as INI modding). Also the mammoth if possible (I've seen a few screenshots that seem to suggest it was a precursor to the paladin early on).

It was me

If you mean these...

...then the required images were in the BETA but are not in the game files now.

Somebody on the Offical boards seems to have kept them though, they have posted screenies of this recently.

Interesting, looks like the hyper repair or whatever its called used to be a unit.

And I see the Tomahawk waypoint that was originally in game. Do you know if that's still codable?

That hyper-repair thing was an older version of the Reapir Drone that I stuck in. Its icon is now used for EmergencyRepair level 3.

As for the Waypoint Targeting - yes and no :|

You can remove all the comments but it wont work properly. IMHO, the waypoint coding for units doesnt work properly (or at least as it should) so getting it to work on a projectile object doesnt stand much hope

In actual fact, all the logic relied on was CapableOfFollowingWaypoints=yes setting on the weapon - which oddly enough it already has, but it doesnt appear to work.

A better way of making use of it is to do what Ive done and give the Tomahawks the assisted targeting logic as an upgrade like the Patriot Battery has by default.

Default The saga continues...

I've had a good look through that thread on the official message boards. It's very interesting but doesn't tell me everything I'd like to know.

1) For the crusader I still need to find out locomotors/movement zones/conditonstates/whatever so the tank will move over water (or at least hover permanently and thus go over all terrain).

2) For the mammoth I'll probably clone most of the paladin entry (leaving off the laser of course). I've sorted out what weapons I'll use, but I really need the art-related stuff (where the muzzle flashes go, how to get the right icon in the build bar, you know the drill) and how to get it to use upgrades (I'll only need one).

Thanks for your help so far, but can anyone help with the above as well? Please??

Judging from 'Fire Island' - I'd say you were getting smarter

The Crusader thing is fairly simple - if you take a look in CivilianUnit.INI at the amphibious transport entry, you can see the trick. You can just give the Crusader the ConditionState = OVER_WATER entry and an amphibious locomotor (in Locomotor.INI the locomotor needs Surfaces = GROUND WATER). By the same principle, people could make 'swimming infantry' like RA2 had - Im surprised nobody has had a crack at that yet.

As for this, i though the muzzle flash was in weapon.ini (FlashFX, when i change this from the BattleShip to the OVerlord it looks WAY diffrent), if the muzzle flash is needed in the W3D, i dunno, the Titan tutorial did put them in there. As for the Upgrades, just take a peek at the INI Research here done by DZ and Phoib.

Welcome!

Hmm, not sure, I didnt play much with the beta myself, I know he had a button to 'climb' but he seems to do that automatically now. Not sure he was ever able to swim.
