Default Tractor Beam....

Is this even possible in generals?

I remeber one of the older games had a unit that did nothing but pull other units to it... im just curious if anyone has attempted somthing like that...

It is possible to alter another units location like that?

One of Yuri's units had the tractor beam like thing. I doubt if that can be done in Generals or ZH. However, if anyone can findout how to do this then it would be much help for RA2: Unleashed, a Generals: ZH Total Conversion.

dont know about bring toward, but you can use the moab shockwave to throw enemy. (explosive device, super low damage, throw enemys off cliffs, into water, etc. not practical, but funny.)

I'm wondering if the shockwave effect can be used with a negative push value ?

I was just going to say that, but does the shockwave send the object flying forward or just in a random direction?

It is in more of an up and away direction from the center. A negative value may make units do the oposite then again it may not work. Could be hardcoded or won't work at all though.
I like using the stealth bomber to make tanks fly and flip around.

just FYI, negative shockwave values just plain dont work.

However I *was able to figure out a way to do it.

Im putting a tractor beam turret in my little modlet that can pull enemy vehicles into the range of other defenvice structres that do tons of dammage but have a short range. Lots of fun..

Its not somthing thats very easy to explain, so ill refrain from posting the "how" unless someone feels like they could use it.

If you don't mind, can you post the "how" part because the RA2: Unleashed mod could use it.

Thank you,
V'ger

I'm also very interested in the idea. It would make "tractor looting" in Dh4RTS far more complete, lol.
Plus I'd love to bugger about with a unit manipulator device, mwahahaha.
