Default Controlbars and the Gameplay area

This is where I am with the commandbar.

I've rotated and rescaled all the windows from the original control bar and as you can see they all fit vertically. The graphics aren't done and its very much a work in progress.

However there is a problem and its something I was sure I had fixed once before. The black area at the bottom of the display, I can't find where it is setup or if its possible to change it.

As I said I'm sure that in my early attempts at this I had removed it but cannot remember how, unless I was dreaming. It isn't part of the controlbar window definition, if anyone knows how please let me know.

Thank you.

But the F9 key somehow removes it. Maybe there's a way to emulate that?

Well to get rid of the buttons, don't you just change the coordinates in some .wnd file?

I don't know about the black area, but like Immo said the F9 button removes it, so we just have to make it somehow to be able to start the game with the F9 button already pressed.

There is an INI called ControlBarResizer, any idea what thats for?

I think its used when the F9 is pressed but I'm not sure. There must be a way and looking at the screenshot I posted the commandbar would be smaller and allow more gameplay area.

ControlBarResizer.INI adjusts the display of the control bar between different screen resolutions - it defaults to 800x600 as thats the res in which it was designed.

Try setting the 'UserWindow:Munkee' window to DISABLED and/or HIDDEN in the ControlBar.wnd file, see if that does anything. Thats the portion of the file that covers the black area you're referring to.

Thank you, I will try it tonight, although I have rotated the entire window structure including the Munkee.

The results of disabling the Munkee were unfortunately no change. I tried making it SEE_THRU too, but no effect.

As I said I have rotated all the windows and aligned them to the left of the display.

I tried disabling every window in the control bar, but in every case the black rectangle remains visible.
